Electronic Cigarettes: A Look at the ECCA UK (A Buyer Support Group)
There are many different methods for kicking a smoking habit. Though some can go “cold turkey”, some need the help of nicotine gum or patches. ECCA UK is a not-for-profit organisation whose threefold mission is to provide correct and accurate information about electronic cigarettes, represent consumers to the industry, and protect consumers’ rights. It strives to encourage and shield the freedoms and desires of smokers that have chosen the safe option of e-cigs. ECCA promotes e-cig smokers’ rights, locally, nationally and Europe-wide by furnishing media resources and supporting e-cig industry initiatives. It also manages standards inside the industry. It’s worth noting that ECCA has no ties with any particular supplier, trade association, or e-cig maker. Furthermore, the ECCA is an active partaker in the UK’s tobacco harm reduction initiative.
Electronic Cigarettes: ECCA’s Activities and Reports
ECCA is a wide-ranging member base, and considers it its mission to represent and defend the more than 300,000 e-cig users in the UK. ECCA is faithful to take notice of the needs of its members and enforcing policies in line with those needs. It maintains a website that offers members a place to go and speak with other members. This dialogue influences ECCA’s regulations. For example, ECCA has reported that, according to many medical experts, e-cigs are significantly less like to do harm than cigarettes are. E-cig users effectively are transformed into non-smokers. Numerous ECCA members are concerned that they might return to smoking real cigarettes if e-cigs were made unlawful or otherwise off limits.
