Cheap Televisions Are Cheap For A Reason
Cheap tvs are everywhere these days. In nearly every store the buyer shops in, you will find a generic brand television for sale. You can buy them on the intenet and over the phone. Internet-based companies that sell cheap LCD tvs and cheap plasma tvs are flourishing.
These televisions come in all sizes, from the very small, 9-10 inches, to the very large, 95 to 103 inches. 19 inch to 39 inch LCD tvs seem to be the favorite size. 32 inch to 52 inch are probably the most popular size for the widescreen.
They are made to hang on walls, set on tables, or sit on the floor. Some televisions are widescreen while others are the regular fullscreen model. Some are flat screen, while others still have that rounded appearance. Cheap tvs come in a variety of types. It is now possible to get a cheap LCD tv or a cheap plasma tv.
Cheap tvs come in a variety of prices. The cheapest tvs may cost just a couple hundred pounds. The price varies with the tv itself. Depending on the make, where it is purchased, especially if it is purchased on the internet, the size, the style, all decides the price.
Does it matter what type of tv to buy? LCDs used to come in just a smaller model. Now they come in much bigger sizes and the prices are competitive with plasma tvs. Plasma tvs on the other hand, are well known for their enormous sizes. The two types work completely differently. The plasma tv uses pixel cells, hundreds of thousands of them. The LCD uses liquid crystal filled cells. If buying cheap LCD tvs or cheap plasma tvs, it will not make a difference.
After a few years problems start to arise with cheap LCD televisions and cheap plasma televisions. The picture may grow darker or start to shrink, the picture may become fuzzy or unclear, or it may not work at all anymore. Having it repaired is an option if the owner wants to spend more than what the television is worth.
The owner of the broken television has lost his money; basically, for buying that cheap television set. Now that consumer has to buy another tv which means he has spent double now for buying the cheapest tv he could find. If the consumer buys another cheap tv, the cycle continues. Companies are flourishing on people doing this.
Perhaps it would be better to spend more money on a tv and get a top-brand one. Granted they are more expensive, or are they? In the long run buying a Name brand tv will come out cheaper. They will last much longer than cheap tvs. Consumers should shop around for top-brand televisions.
