Samsung’s DualView cameras already had a cool and convenient front-facing LCD
screen for easy self-portraits. For 2012, the newest DualView is getting a new
upgrade: built-in Wi-Fi.
The addition of Wi-Fi to the DV300F will allow the camera to upload photos and
videos to Picasa, Facebook, Flickr, and YouTube. Moreover, photos can also be
wirelessly transferred to a home PC and to cloud storage services such as
Microsoft SkyDrive.
The camera itself offers 16-megapixel resolution, 5x optical zoom, and a 25mm
wide-angle lens. Beyond the dual LCD screens, the DV300F also includes some
photo templates and on-board image manipulation functions.
The addition of Wi-Fi is a worthwhile convenience–one that helps narrow the
features gap between point-and-shoot camera like the DV300F and smartphones,
which have become the go-to choice for quick and easy photography for many
users. We hope, however, that the DV300F will offer better build quality and
low-light photo performance than the last DualView model CNET reviewed, 2011′s
Samsung DualView TL205.
Expect to see the Samsung DualView DV300F later in 2012. Price has yet to be
